My friend presented me with this book quite some time ago. "I will have a look at it later,' I thought to myself, making a place for this new book in the bookshelves. I used to be bookwarm but not anymore - all of us know what a haotic life we all have! No time for anything! Only 2 months later I happened to take this book with when a very rare occasion allowed me to go to the beach with my husband (very rare occasion I would say!) "Let us see, what is it all about.... what is all these - most important things...' with this rather sceptical approach I began to page this book. Bright and skillful illustrations can ignite interest in anyone,no doubt about that! I began to read, first contents, then first pages. Then showed it to my hubby, saying that this book can teach a lot our kids. So, we both read few stories at one go, others - later, aloud, with our children at home. Maria SkrebtsovaMaria Skrebtsova is a young Russian artist, a poet and an accomplished children's writer. Born in 1968 in Moscow, Russia, she completed a course at The Moscow State Linguistic University (Moris Toresa). Maria is a teacher by profession and a translator from and into French and English.
About the History of Project Kind Book ……Lopatina and M. Skrebtsova are the authors of numerous children's books and poetry. Their books have been in publication since 1991 and they have travelled extensively in Russia to promote their educational tales. In some parts of Russia, where it is often hard to afford children's books, the workshops and moral tales that Lopatina and Skrebtsova travel personally to deliver are a godsend!!

My applauds to you! I read the first 2 stories from "The Most Important Things" for my little son and was so thrilled that couldn't help it to read the whole book. Should admit this is really something that is truely worthy of reading - for both children and adults! 
Like your books - my first books were your strories on Fruit and Vegetables, then this one. Content is very useful - not only for chihldren, but for any adult who is concern about morality and health! Moreover, it is a brilliant idea to have these books in English - now me and my daughter use them also to imrpove our English. I read your books in Russian first, now I specially acquired your English versions.
Alexandra Lopatina is an accomplished children's writer. She was born in 1951 in Moscow, Russia. She completed a course at The Kirov Pedagogy Institute and is a teacher by profession. She is currently the founder of the project Kind Book on Moral and Creative Education
