OUR OFFERS TO PUBLISHING HOUSES

Educational fairy-tales: Children's writers offer to publishers and all parties involved in children's education and upbringing.

A message from two authors of books on children's upbringing and education:

Books for children and their parents:
- How to learn to live in peace with yourself and with your child
- How to help our children become happy and successful

During the last 15 years more than 105 of our books have been published – These books explain unique techniques on the upbringing and education of children through the means of fairy tales, legends and stories.  They contain many dialogues and stories about different aspects of family life, on the professions, about music, art and the natural world. There are Fairy Tales with magic (but real magic!), and recipes with fruit and vegetables, cereals, nuts and honey.  There are some 600 creative games for both children and their parents. All together there are more than 3000 parables, stories and fairy tales which develop the reasoning ability, as well as many tasks, activities and homework.

Dear colleagues. We are offering:

• our materials published to date
• to write children's book on any theme in the form of fantasy or poetry for you according to your personal requirements.

We promise to respond to each and every request.  Looking forward to working together with you!

FOR THE ATTENTION OF AUTHORS, PARENTS AND CHILDREN - AND TO EVERYONE WHO WRITES STORIES OR FAIRY TALES

Kind children's stories

Dear friends! As we ourselves are the authors of children's books, educators and storytellers, we consider that the story and the fairy tale are especially unique kinds of creativity, and that the FAIRY TALE is the closest to a child's heart. Therefore we not only write stories and fairy tales ourselves, but we try to make them both easily comprehensible as well as containing wisdom, so that our children can be influenced to become better and kinder people. We shall be glad to hear about your own creativity in this area, and to try and answer your questions and comments.  We will also on request place your children's  most interesting works on our website.

Yours faithfully
The Authors
A.Lopatina & M.Skrebtsova

THE SCHOOL OF KINDNESS

Why do our children love fairy tales so much?  Are fairy tales really so important in a child's life? Surely each one of us has some understanding of the great importance of fairy tales as we can still remember many of tales that were told to us in our childhood, their wisdom, good advice and high morals, and their effects on our life.

We write and compile educational fairy tales which contain a lot of wisdom and the quality of kindness. This unique kind of creativity is closest to a children's soul. The fairy tale can bring out strong feelings in a child - both of sadness and happiness as well as hope, and encourages him/her to think and contemplate.

We write thematic cycles of fairy tales that not only touch a child's soul but, at the same time teach a child about family values, about kindness, and about the importance of caring for others.

There are tales that individually deal with such diverse subjects as plants and trees, colours, paints and pictures; about music, about different trades and professions and areas of expertise, about logic and the beauty of mathematics, about the uniqueness of ones native language. In short there are stories about everything in our children's environment that they should learn about.

Together with each fairy tale are appended a whole cycle of different questions, games and tasks, that help the child deeply 'live the fairy tale' because what a person individually and independently experiences has a predominant effect on their way of thinking. Besides we consider it to be very important that children learn to express their ideas in creative activity as when someone is creative he grows in the highest sense of this word.

In connection with many of our fairy tales we ask the children to make a special play or put on a small performance.  Teachers and tutors who have carried out these tasks, found out that these kinds of activities influence the child's personality in a surprising way.  Even among children with psychological problems such plays and performances develop the ability to conceptualise; enrich and activate their verbal and expressive skills; expand their understanding about worldly phenomena, develop the imagination as well as their creative and artistic abilities, and most importantly, help the child to express himself in a creative way.

Our books have been in print since 1996, and the comments received from people who have used them have shown how these books are important both to children and parents.

We are open to explore any form of interesting and productive co-operation, as we have worked with pre-school age children in different children's centres and libraries and have much and varied experience in conducting children's activities in the sphere of moral education.

So we shall be glad to help you to organize a " School of Kindness " for your children!

With deep respect,
the authors Lopatina Alexandra & Skrebtsova Maria

A FRAGMENT FROM ONE OF OUR LESSONS IN
THE "SCHOOL OF KINDNESS"

"Our Heart"

Theme:
Each person is unique and has a great value.

The aim:

To get to know the children, and to transmit to them a
miraculous or fairy-tale like way of thinking. To help each child
understand his/her uniqueness and the absolute originality of his own
personality.

The introduction:
Dear boys and girls! There are so many of you, each of you so different and unique, and I would like to get acquainted with each and every one of you. Tell me, do you believe in miracles? Yes? Me too! Every morning a wizard comes to me. He brings me lots of  wonderful fairy tales. But today I said to the wizard: "Today I'm going to visit some very special children and I'd love to make friends with them and to learn their names." So the wizard gave me a blank sheet of paper and told me that all your names were already written on it!

Names

Now we shall try and perform a small miracle. (Before this presentation write (using paraffin) all the children's names on a sheet of special paper.) Call the assistant and ask him to colour in this sheet with a piece of cotton-wool soaked in paint. When the names become visible, we can read them: (for example) Ivan, Vasiliy, Petr, Natasha, Olga etc. We also try to make some interesting comments at this point:
"O there are so many of you, we need to remember each one of you and not get confused. Children respond with feeling when they are praised and shown interest individually:  "Your name is so unusual! ", "Your eyes are so kind!".

Game: "The Gate of Introductions"

Two children - the leaders of this performance - stand up facing each other, join hands and lift them up to symbolise a 'Gate of Friendship'. The others join hands so that a long chain is formed.

The teacher utters a special phrase, and the chain slowly passes under the lifted hands.

Tra-ta-ta,
We open a gate,
We'll let you through once
We'll let you through twice
But a third time - We won't let you through!

With these words ‘the gate' lowers its hands to catch one or more children in its grasp. The caught child should introduce himself or herself.  After everyone has introduced themselves we repeat everything we have learned about the children.

Game: "Let's Listen to our Hearts"

"Dear girls and boys. Although I do not have a fairy's magic wand  I have a heart which is able to make friends with other hearts. Right now its conversing with someone's tiny heart. "Touk-touk". "Please, sh-sh, please, dear children, can you please be silent for a moment."

Then I approach one of the children I already know something about, I listen to his/her heart and I tell what this heart said to me.

Then 'I listen to the tiny hearts' of another 2-3 children about whom I also know something. Then I approach another child and, putting my hand on its heart I complain that it is speaking so softly that I can't hear anything. Then I ask the children: "Do you know what his heart is saying?" (Surely you can improvise or make up a similar situation).

Let me listen to my own heart, perhaps it might tell me something interesting. Then I show that I carefully "listen to my own heart" and explain that my heart is very disturbed because it learnt that one boy was not able to listen to his heart.

Discussion of a Fairy Tale:

Is it possible to find out about a person's heart by his/her eyes, gestures or voice?
Why do people sometimes say: "Such and such person is heartless"?
Why does our heart beat very quickly when danger threatens?
Who among your relatives has got the softest heart?

Creative Task "Let's Listen to our Hearts"

We all sit down very quietly, and when it becomes perfectly silent we try to listen to our hearts. First we listen to what they are saying to those who are around us: to our mummies and daddies, our brothers, our sisters, our relatives, to our friends and neighbours. Then to all people, to all the animals, to all growing things and the whole of creation.

Let's try to listen (and to hear) as much as possible, with the intention that from our hearts many many beams radiate like beams from the sun.

Figure "The Sun of our Hearts"

On a sheet of a thick paper we draw the sun with multi-coloured beams. The children should tell about what their hearts have heard, then also draw multi-coloured beams radiating out from them towards the sun.

The meeting comes to an end with the distribution of small gifts.

During the whole of the preceding lesson we were trying to notice "the saddest child" as well as  "the smallest", "most cheerful" etc. and we make a special point of giving each of them a balloon or something similar in a nice playful way, explaining why he or she receive these gifts.
